A few of our collabs

A true beating heart here in the Bay Area. Roast n’ Post doesn’t just champion local creatives, they make it their mission to support us. Creating spaces and opportunities to connect us and build community so we can collaborate, inspire and really just thrive together. Also, the coffee mugs. 10/10.

— Syra McCarthy

There's a real "sky's the limit" mentality at Roast n' Post, and their commitment to professionalism on each project is unmatched. These are the kind of collaborators you want to be working with: devoted, curious, friendly, adept, and experienced. I eagerly look forward to my next collaboration with the wonderful team at Roast n' Post.

— Taylor Joshua Rankin

The incredible team at Roast n’ Post gave our short film Gloria the star treatment, and took enormous care in building the soundscape of our film. It was an incredible experience to perform the final mix in their studio, making our small film feel just as important as any commercial effort.

— Caitlin Machak

I really mean it when I say that working with Roast n’ Post is a divine experience for me. They have everything you would want in a post house: state of the art facilities, decades of wisdom, strong community, and a private cafe just for you. I pretty much make films just to hangout with them at this point. Bury me at RnP!

— Theo Schear

Sean and his team create such a warm environment for experimentation and play. They treat my thoughts, notes, and ideas with such care and attentiveness that I never feel like I'm making a request too small or too silly. Sean and his team affirm my voice as a director and completely transformed my film. Their technical expertise is immense and it's truly a joy to work with the whole Roast n' Post team.

— Jalena Keane-Lee

Roast n’ Post has carved out an integral place in the Bay Area film scene with their support of filmmakers by creating community in their ongoing workshop series, hosting listening events and mixers, sponsoring screenings, and of course, by offering discounted / donated post services to indie projects that they believe in. I know I’m not alone in my gratitude towards Sean, Crystal and all of the extremely talented post-production artists and technicians at Roast n' Post!

— Henry Kinder

Sean does more than color, he encourages me to break through the constraints that are often imposed on smaller scale productions. He, and the rest of the top-notch team at Roast n’ Post, gives my work the same care as any major production. It not only allows my films to bloom into the best possible versions of themselves, but it shows me what’s possible in color and sound so that moving forward as a filmmaker I can dream deeper.

FAQs

  • The earlier the better! We can’t usually sign on until seeing a rough cut, but if you’re thinking about going into production on a project we love to know about it so we can have on our radar.

  • That depends! We usually refer to the good/fast/cheap triangle when considering collabs. We’re only interested in doing good work so if you have a limited budget we usually like to plan ahead to make sure schedule and leadtime allow for some flexiblity. Hit us up, we’ll discuss.

  • Not at this time, our Coffee n’ Collabs initiative is primarily focused on color, sound and finishing.
